Little Buddy ?
I noticed an ad in a local paper for a "little buddy" pedal steel and practice amp for sale. It intimated that it was a student setup.
I'm not in the market for another instrument, but it made me curious. What is a Little Buddy ?

Little Buddy pedal steel guitars were manufactured by the now-defunct USA Guitar Co. of Hillman MI. They were built to provide a pedal steel guitar which anyone could afford. Many, many of these steels were built, many are still in circulation throughout the country. Originally the standard setup was 10-string E9th, 3 pedals and 1 knee lever. Later guitars often had 2 knee levers. Freeman Cowgar, builder of Cougar Steel Guitars, was a principal in the USA Guitar Co. for many years. Anything you want to know about Little Buddy steels, you can find out by asking Freeman. He is a good-natured gentleman and extremely interesting to talk to. Give him a call at (989)848-5380.
