Emmons D-10 Push Pull Serial Numbers are listed on THIS PAGE from the Carter site. It might be a good idea to print out the page and save it for reference. Image

Hate to tell you guys you are wrong but that series of numbers on that site are not correct, his guitar is really not a '75! This series on serial numbers was "guess compiled" from the family records of Fred Trogden after his death and is now deemed unaccurate according to the more accurate company records. History needs to be as accurate as possible. I have a listing of all Emmons guitars from '64 thru '87.And there is no reason to think these records are anything but perfect. There are , of course, several guitars with no numbers, some annaversary models, and a couple of custom guitars with strange numbers, but some of these also show up in the records we have compiled.

Yes, I do have this info. No Bob and yes Larry. Once in Detroit and I must stop here because of a horrible hangover!

Bobbe,

Mine is # 2183 D, a double 10, 8 and 4 I bought it new and my recollection is that was sometime between late '76 and mid '77, although the chart on the above post shows that it would have been '75- I guess that's possible, although it seems like it was later than that- I know I didn't mess with it much till about '79. Do your charts confirm '76-'77? or '75? Hadn't seen it for almost 20 years, not since I put it in its case in '83, until I decided to check the serial number tonite. Looks just fine, guess they don't age much in the closet. Maybe I'll start sleeping in the closet.
